Christmas is the season of giving but lets face it, when it comes to present buying there is nothing easy about it. Usually there are a few people who are quite easy to buy for but there are always those people who are just difficult. For me my dad is a hard person to buy for; he doesn't want for much and if he does want something he buys it himself which makes it hard to get him something that he is going to like.
I have been told by basically everyone I know that I am a difficult person to buy for. Sometimes it is because if I have expressed an interest in a product or an item, the likelihood is that I am going to buy it at some point. People tell me not to buy anything close to Christmas because they are nervous I'm going to end up buying what they have bought me. Not only is that an issue but also I am picky, I like what I like and I will let people know if I don't like something so I think buying me a present is a lot of pressure. I buy myself a present every Christmas and I have no issue buying for myself so I don't know what everyone is complaining about!
Speaking of buying presents for myself, every Christmas I write a blog post detailing my current wishlist. I recognise that some of these are super expensive but that is why they are on the wishlist and not in my house. These are the items that if I suddenly won the lottery, I would go out and buy the following day.

Alexander McQueen Sneakers
I may have finally purchased a pair of sneakers this year and they are a really lovely pair that I wear a lot but I still have eyes for the Alexander McQueen Sneakers that everyone went mad for a while ago. I know they have had their day but I would still love a pair. Unfortunately they have put the price up this year so they are even more expensive, they were £360 now they are £390 which is ridiculous but I just feel like these would go with so many outfits. Plus now that I have my Axel Arigato sneakers I know I would actually wear these.
I love the little bit of pale pink suede at the back of the shoe but also that they have a sneaky platform so they would hopefully add a bit of height to my rather miniature frame. You never know maybe one day I will find a pair of Bicester or a pair in the sale that I could actually afford.
Mulberry - Lily Bag
The amount of time in my life that I have spent thinking about the Mulberry Lily bag is far too long considering I do not have one. I have been including this bag in my wishlists since 2017 and I am still obsessed with it. I actually came close to buying it this year as they had it in Bicester Village when I was there earlier in the year but it was still too expensive for me to truly consider it so I walked away. That doesn't mean that I don't want it though, it just means I do consider my bank balance when spending.
I tell myself all the time that there would be no point buying this Mulberry as it is very similar to my Aspinal of London bag which I absolutely adore but I guess I want the name and this bag! I cannot justify it in my head as I truly have no need for this bag but I just love it. The colour I like is Rosewater which is a lighter, more blush toned leather compared to my Taupe Aspinal bag so it would go with different looks and this would be a more summery version. I have spoken about this bag so much and I am sure it will continue to feature on my wishlists for years to come.

Manolo Blahnik - Black Maysale Buckled Mules
I never thought I would be a fan of kitten heels, in fact I have always hated them but there is something that appeals to me about them. It all started with the Dior J'adore Kitten Heels which I loved and now the more I see them, the more I like them. I'm guess this is just a sign of my old age but I just think there is something so sophisticated about them. Imagine turning up to the office in these!
I've seen a couple of people styling these on Instagram and I just love the way they look. I think the big buckle on the front is a cute detail that is not over the top. Manolo Blahnik are definitely most well known for those rich sapphire blue satin shoes with the crystal embellishment on the front from Sex in the City but I really do not like those shoes. They are called the Hangisi Heels.
At £545 these are really expensive but a kitten heel is going to be more wearable than some of the full on heels that I have purchased over the years. These shoes also come in a burgundy which is just as beautiful as the black but I feel like the black are more classic and would be wearable for longer.
What do you think of kitten heels? Trendy or pointless?

Bottega Veneta - Padded Cassette Leather Cross Body Bag
Bottega Veneta have Rosie Huntington-Whitely to thank for a lot of their success over the past few seasons, I feel like she has adopted so many of these bags into her weekly outfit posts and it has convinced everyone else that they need them. Not only that but Daniel Lee has taken the brand in a modern direction which it didn't have before.
Personally I did not like the dumpling bag that truly kick started the love for Bottega Veneta bags but I do love what they have created with the Cassette bag. Once again an Instagram favourite, I just love the simple design but it is so different from anything else I have seen. The buckle on this bag is a simple triangle design which also features on their belts. Bottega Veneta are certainly taking note from brands like Gucci and Valentino who have their signature symbol but Bottega Veneta haven't gone for something as obvious as the other two brands which makes me like it even more.
Just imagine someone walking into your office with this bag and the Manolo shoes, that is the type of look I want. This bag is close to £2100 so this is a bag I could only own in my dreams but I think it is gorgeous and I will continue to dream about this bag!

Byredo - Mojave Ghost
I wouldn't usually include perfume in one of these posts as I tend to keep fashion and beauty wishlists separate but I wanted to mention this perfume anyway as I keep forgetting about it and I do look back at these posts to see some of the items I have been looking at.
Before this year I wouldn't have looked at a Byredo fragrance as they are so expensive but after I tried the Ouai x Byredo Dry Shampoo I completely fell in love the scent. This scent is unlike anything else I have in my collection, it is much deeper and more unisex than the scents I typically pick. However the more I used the dry shampoo and continued to get a waft of this scent, the more it grew on me to the point where I don't know what I am going to do when the dry shampoo runs out.
I haven't tried the actual fragrance but if the dry shampoo is anything to go by then the perfume will be long lasting and it will have a strength. I should bloody hope it does considering the 50ml is £115 and the the 100ml is £170, I don't think I will be rushing to buy this but if Space NK have some form of offer on, I will consider buying this perfume.
To write this post I had a look back at some of the wishlists I have written over the year and I have actually treated myself to an item from my Christmas Wishlist last year and my Birthday Wishlist. I did buy the Lily Bra from Fleur De Mal as it went into the sale on Net-a-Porter in the summer. Just before that I bought my dream dress from Self-Portrait that I had included in my Birthday wishlist so I do sometimes tick items off of these wishlists but it truly is not very often.
I do not expect any of these for Christmas and to be honest I would be horrified if someone bought me one of these items as they are all sooo expensive but these posts are great for me to reference back to when I am considering treating myself.
Do you have any luxury items that you would love to receive for Christmas?
